I also woudl ve liked a complimentary gift for my troubles, but alas, nothing. It's baffling how the staff seemed unconcerned about the discomfort I faced. Almost thought about giving a better review, but just couldn't, very disappointing experience!

Had exceptional stay of ten nights and the weather was wonderful. The location was so ideal and quiet because it was really close to other pubs a short drive or decent walk away, the garden on a daily basis, including at breakfast time and everything-several walks around the village. It also was in a beautiful part of the country.

The breakfasts were great, with delicious homemade flapjacks. Our room had amazing views, and the wildlife outside-red squirrels and birds-made for a perfect backdrop while enjoying a morning brew.
The lane leading to the hotel is a bit narrow, so just take it easy coming in.

This place is just an amazin retreat! Comfy beds and super clean rooms. Breakfast was sooo good, with all sorts of yummy stuff. The garden is like a wildlife paradise, got to see red squirrels and lots of birds while having breakfast. Corrine was really sweet and helpful.
But the lane leading here is a bit narrow, so be careful driving in. The shower water pressure could be better, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

The serene gardens were alive with chirping birds and playful red squirrels while I enjoyed the delectable breakfast. The warm hospitality from the mother-daughter duo.
The access road is a bit tricky to navigate, which might pose a challenge for larger vehicles.

The garden is a real gem, attracting red squirrels and colorful birds that you can watch while enjoying your breakfast. A cozy sitting room allows couples to unwind together after a day of exploration, and the nearby steam train station offers a unique outing worth experiencing.
The access road to the place is a bit tricky. It's narrow and can be bumpy, which might give your vehicle a ride it didn't sign up for. In the loft room, the low ceiling beams are charming but can be a head-bumper for anyone over six feet tall, and the TV in our room was on the smaller side, which wasn't ideal for movie nights.

Super cozy vibes!
Our hosts were super chill and made a killer breakfast every morn. Saw cute red squirrels wandering around the hotel. Only wish the bathroom situation was a bit less shared. Totally loved the packed lunch option too. Made exploring easier!
